EXCLUSIVE | Holly Cousens Car Chased Yakima News Deliverers
If you think Mayor Janice Deccio is the only one on the Yakima City Council who doesn't respect free speech, think again. We received a very credible tip that Yakima City Council candidate Holly Cousens (District 7) literally car-chased some newspaper deliverers in the street.
Car Chasing Yakima's 1st Amendment Away
To our amusement, One Crackima has been expanding in notoriety, and we received our very first tip. It came from an anonymous source within the Rain Shadow Report regarding an incident that happened to some of their news deliverers on the night of July 21, 2023.
The Tale of Two News Deliverers
We were sent two accounts from the Rain Shadow Report's news deliverers. You can read their original stories below (we made a couple redactions for safety reasons):
To summarize what happened, the two deliverers were out dropping off copies of the Rain Shadow Report's publication, RED. A gray pickup truck pulled up next to one of the deliverers and asked what they were doing. They replied that they were distributing a publication, gave the man in the pickup a copy, and he drove away.
A few minutes later, the same truck passed the deliverers by again but at high speed and with its brights on. Then, the deliverers encountered the truck a third time, with it stopping abruptly in front of them.
Approximately 5 minutes later, the truck returned a third time, driving close to us while using his phone to record us. The truck stopped on the curb right in front of us, obstructing our path. This forced us to take a different path than we had intended.
The truck had to drive on the wrong side of the road to turn sharp enough to pull off this maneuver at the speed he was traveling. He continued to film us with his window down.
At this point we were able to see clearly into his vehicle. We recognized the woman in his passenger seat wearing red as a public figure, city council woman Holly Nicole Cousens, and the male driver as her romantic interest, Beau Douglas Baird.

Photos the Rain Shadow Report's news deliverers managed to take. They claim the man in the driver's seat is Beau Douglas Baird, the boyfriend of current city councilwoman up for election, Holly Cousens.
Both news deliverers claim to have identified Cousens in the front passenger seat, and Beau Douglas Baird (her boyfriend) as the driver of the pickup. The news deliverers had several more encounters with Cousens and Baird in the pickup before deciding to leave the area for their own safety.
...I felt very intimidated by this series of events. The truck was going above the speed limit and down the wrong side of the street at several points. The truck came very close to my associate and I, blocking our intended path at least twice.
My associate and I were ultimately unable to complete our jobs because a member of City Council and her companion made us feel unsafe and unwelcome in an area.

The News Deliverers Involve the Yakima Police Department
After the incident, one of the news deliverers contacted the Yakima Police Department. However, the police stated that what had happened was a civil matter, and they advised the deliverer to contact the Yakima Superior Court for an anti-harassment order.
The news deliverer said they hadn't decided yet whether to take the issue to civil court.
What Made Holly Cousens Chase?
The news Holly Cousens was upset about came in the form of a small magazine called RED that the deliverers were handing out on foot. RED is a publication of the Rain Shadow Report.
The two deliverers presume it was the back of the magazine that made Cousens mad enough to chase them around for half an hour.
RED was claiming that based on her voting record, Holly Cousens is a RINO.
No official communications have been issued from Holly Cousens on this matter.
3 Reasons Holly Cousens is a Leftist
The Rain Shadow Report/RED brought up an interesting point. Is Holly Cousens a RINO? We've been interested in this question for quite some time. Cousens tends to run a "nonpartisan" campaign. There are few things more irritating to us than "neutral" individuals who are, in fact, pumped full of left-wing agenda.
These are our three reasons for thinking Holly Cousens is a step or two past RINO and actually on the far-left.
1. Fake Republican Support
For the first time in forever, the Yakima County Republican Party decided to endorse local candidates. Strangely, Holly Cousens wasn't one of them.
To maintain a cross-partisan appearance, Cousens instead sought and received an endorsement from the Mainstream Republicans of Washington.
But comparing the two platforms is revealing.
2. Full Engagement in the Pride Agenda
Cousens also wholeheartedly supports the LGBTQ agenda. This is NOT part of the conservative platform in Yakima, and it certainly isn't part of the Christian one.

Posters have also been showing up around town, specifically by schools, saying "Marginalized Communities 4 Holly Cousens District 7."
The posters show a typical pride flag, but with a few alarmingly twisted additions:
- The red umbrella of sex workers.
- The MAP's flag (minor attracted persons, aka pedophiles).
To date of publication, the City has allowed this pro-pedophilia propaganda to be up near schools for almost two months. However, according the Rain Shadow Report, the City of Yakima will remove posters criticizing President Biden or abortion almost immediately.
Posters saying "Marginalized Communities 4 Holly Cousens District 7." One was found across the street from Whitney Elementary. The other was found at Eisenhower High School.
3. Cousens was Endorsed by Planned Parenthood
If there's any litmus test to identify a leftist candidate, it's whether they're approved and supported by Planned Parenthood.
On October 18, 2023, Cousens was endorsed by Planned Parenthood alongside Dulce Gutierrez and Norm Walker.

Our Last Thoughts on Holly Cousens
Yakima has dealt with Holly Cousens on City Council for 8 years. She has a seemingly impressive educational background with bachelor's degrees in marketing and human resources, and Master's degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership. She's a professor and program head at Yakima Valley College for their Business Technology Program.
...and still Yakima has a budget crisis. Over the course of her two terms in office, it's only gotten worse.
What's more is that Cousens is far from nonpartisan. She's as left leaning as Mayor Janice Deccio, Soneya Lund, and Dulce Gutierrez. She engages with the LGBTQ agenda regularly and has unofficial endorsements from the pedophile community plastered near schools. Meanwhile, her official endorsements are from a fake Republican chapter and Planned Parenthood.
Cousens's website also proudly features pictures of her with Dulce Gutierrez, Governor Inslee, and former President Barack Obama. If these are the people Cousens is proud to be around, she's nowhere near right-leaning.

And on top of all of this, Cousens and her boyfriend chased around the Rain Shadow Report's news deliverers. Again, the equivalent would be chasing around a paperboy from the Herald because you didn't like the comics.
Cousens' actions displayed recklessness and absolute disregard for public safety, due process, communication, and free speech.
